The Sinister SDX2 is the 2-channel model in Wet Sounds’ premium Sinister Series amplifier range — a high-power, full-range Class-D amplifier built around Wet Sounds’ patented MAXED™ power supply technology. With serious output figures and the efficiency advantages of the MAXED™ platform, the SDX2 is the natural choice for powering a demanding pair of tower speakers or running a high-power subwoofer in bridged mono configuration.
The MAXED™ power supply is a patented Wet Sounds technology designed to achieve efficiency levels previously considered unattainable in a mobile audio amplifier — less current draw, less heat generated, and less strain on your boat’s charging and battery system, meaning more play time on the water. Class-D topology further enhances this efficiency, while layered PCBs and advanced microprocessors keep the design compact and reliable in the harshest marine environments.
Two channels of full-range output deliver 400W per channel at 4Ω stereo, 620W per channel at 2Ω stereo, or a substantial 1,250W bridged to mono at 4Ω — making the SDX2 one of the most powerful 2-channel amplifiers in the Wet Sounds range and well suited to the most demanding tower speaker or subwoofer applications. The crossover is adjustable from 30Hz to 300Hz at 12dB per octave for both high and low pass configurations, with a bass boost of 0–12.5dB adjustable between 27Hz and 110Hz for precise subwoofer tuning. Overvoltage protection kicks in at 15.6V to protect your system, and the remote level control adjusts from 0dB to -61dB for precise volume management.
All Sinister Series amplifiers share a single full cast aluminium chassis size across the range, making installation straightforward and the finished result clean. Removable speaker plugs, high-level speaker input, and an LED-badged enclosure complete the package. Backed by Wet Sounds’ 2-year limited warranty.
